Marine ecological studies
Toxicon has more than 20 years of experience and offers a wide range of marine studies. We conduct coastal monitoring programmes and documentations and we perform environmental studies in conjunction with marine construction works.
Our marine projects are performed in accordance with OECD guidelines for quality assurance of data and work routines. The staff has participated in several national/international intercalibrations. Toxicon has two diving marine ecologists (Per Olsson and Fredrik Lundgren) with a professional diver’s certificate (S 30).
Toxicon has it’s own adequately equipped boat. The boat is used for hydrographic surveys, diving documentation/diving sampling of macroalgae, eelgrass, benthic fauna and shallow coastal area sediments. When we work in the open sea we hire larger sampling vessels. UV-video and UV-cameras are used for documentation.
